Tour Detail

Delhi is not just the capital of India, it is a city that lives and breathes its culture through its food. Each corner of Delhi tells a story — of migrants, traditions, and centuries-old recipes passed down through generations. A culinary tour here is more than tasting dishes; it is a journey into the heart of the city’s history, flavors, and aromas.

Street Food:
The streets of Delhi are alive with aromas that tempt your senses. From tangy chaat to soft, buttery parathas, from spicy chole bhature to crispy samosas and kachoris — every bite gives you a taste of Delhi’s vibrant street culture. Walking through these streets, you’ll feel the rhythm of daily life and the bustling energy of locals.

Punjabi Cuisine:
Punjabi food in Delhi is a celebration of flavor and warmth. Whether it’s a plate of creamy butter chicken, a bowl of slow-cooked dal makhani, or a glass of frothy lassi, every dish tells a story of tradition and love for food. Some of the oldest and most beloved Punjabi restaurants in Delhi are family-run, giving an authentic taste that modern kitchens cannot replicate.

Desserts:
No culinary journey in Delhi is complete without indulging in its sweets. From soft gulab jamuns and spongy rasgullas to icy kulfis and golden jalebis, every dessert is a reminder of Delhi’s sweet tooth and festive spirit. Local sweet shops, with their charming old-world charm, make the experience even more delightful.

Special Experiences:
During this tour, you won’t just eat — you will explore vibrant markets, lively food streets, and hidden eateries. You will also have the unique opportunity to join a cooking class, where expert guidance will teach you the secrets of preparing traditional Indian dishes, making your experience immersive and unforgettable.

Tour Program

Delhi is truly the culinary capital of India, influenced by people from every corner of the country. Today’s journey is crafted to give you an authentic, human experience of Delhi’s food culture.

Morning (10:00 AM):

You will be picked up from your hotel by our friendly driver and introduced to our culinary expert. Your first stop is the local food streets — a paradise for anyone who loves authentic Indian street food. As you sample chaat, parathas, samosas, and more, your guide will share stories about the origins of these dishes and how they became iconic in Delhi.

Local Market Visit:

Next, we will visit a bustling vegetable and fruit market. Here, you will see the vibrant colors, hear the lively banter between sellers and buyers, and get a first-hand look at the fresh produce that fuels Delhi’s kitchens. Learn how local shoppers skillfully bargain, a practice that is both essential and fascinating. This is an experience unlike visiting a supermarket — it is immersive, lively, and full of stories.

Cooking Experience & Lunch:

After exploring the market, we will take you to the home of an expert chef, who is also an author of several books on Indian culinary arts. You will be introduced to traditional Indian cooking techniques, learn about the unique spices and ingredients, and participate in hands-on cooking. The session is followed by a freshly prepared lunch, giving you the joy of tasting dishes you helped create.
